FAQs

  • Where can I set my password and what are the password requirements for the myVAILLANT app?

    A password for the myVAILLANT app must be at least 8 characters long and contain at least 1 of each: an upper-case letter, lower-case letter, numerical digit and a special character. The password will be set as part of creating your myVAILLANT account.

  • How can I send feedback, ask questions, or report concerns from within the myVAILLANT app?

    If you would like to submit any query, security concern or feedback, please use the ‘send feedback’ function in the app. To access the ‘send feedback’ function, select the settings in the bottom left of the app screen and you will see ‘send feedback’. Once your message has been raised, our app support team will reply and update you by email. Replies will be sent to the email address used to set up the myVAILLANT account.

  • How many users can be connected to my home?

    Each home will have 1 admin user and up to 9 other users.

  • Can I be a main user to more than one home?

    Yes. For example, you could be the main user to 2 homes and an ‘other user’ to another 3.

  • How many homes can I connect to?

    A maximum of 5.

  • How long does the invitation code last for a new user?

    24 hours. If this expires, the admin can send another invite.

  • Can any user add another user to the home?

    Only the admin may add or remove another user.

  • What can a user do once they have been given access?

    Other users have full control over the heating system but cannot add new hardware (e.g. they would not be able to add a VR 52 signal repeater).

  • Can a user remove themselves from a home?

    Yes, unless they are the admin. The only way an admin is removed is if they delete the account, the gateway will then need to be onboarded again.

  • How can I receive support?

    Using the ‘Customer support’ section of the app will allow you to submit a ticket to our app support team who will reply by email.

*myVAILLANT connect and smart home subscriptions are only compatible with Vaillant heat pump and boiler ranges from 2006 onwards.
